use ram expander/swap for expanding ram ...needs rooted android and class 10 microsd card()for better read and write speed...
for increasing internal memory...it depends on the rom you are using...+ u have to ext2/ext4 partition your sd card ...which doesn't have a good impact on the life of the sd card..
SUggest u to follow the correct rom thread on xda-developers...
BTW WHICH PHONE MODEL ARE U USING ...+ ROOTED OR NOT..

Guys here is a thing fastest SD card on earth is around 50k slower than ram (i guess it ranges from 10k-50k lol) So here is the main thing if you create swap on sd (whatever the partition it can be: ext/linux swap/f2fs ) it will NEVER INCREASE PERFORMANCE OF PHONE. Now the question Then why its called increase your RAM??? Now here is a good answers. Have you heard of windows paging ?If yes then linux ram swap does exactly same thing. It just offloads memory usage by the process which is not online/ not using any process at the moment or something like that. As far as I have tested it (quite a long time back) I only felt VERY MINOR difference that too only when loading multiple tabs. Now if you are gaming on your phone and have swap enabled I guess It will NOT IMPROVE your gaming experience. Simple ah?? here is a reason Having ram being paged on swap ( which is slower than ram) means you want to race on a bullock cart rather than a high speed ferrari lol. And ONE MaIN THING IT CAN DEGRADE LIFESPaN OF SOME OLD SD CARDS.

google for some more info

Also paging ram on sd will not / is not likely to damage lvl 5+ sd cards (lol i mean class 5+) they all/ mostly have 1-20 million full read-write cycles before they die. so here is a thing count it for urself if u have a 64gb class 10 card (@about 10-11 MB/ps write speed) calculate the minimum time before it dies haha ... i guess it will overrun ur lifespan on this great planet :Onthequiet:
