It will never provide you 512 kbps in actual it will give you approx 64 KBPS in idm

Because BSNL clains that it will give yoy 512 Kbps(Kilo Bits per Second) not 512KBps(Kilo byte per seconds)

any one usesbsnl wimax 512kbps plan.plz share speed in idm
Im using 1Mb plan.. it gives me 130KB ... i think getting wired is better .. cause when rain or too cloudy.. it gets disconnected or drops speed to 20KB

It gives you right speed divide 1024 with 8
1024/8=128 KBps

i know that already.. what i mean is.. it gives me 130-150KB mostly.. but sometimes it goes down as 10-30KB .. so wired is better ... connection would be stable than wimax

Wi-Max is perfect for those areas where broadband penetration is low and last-mile connectivity is not there. Where ever there is availability of wired connection, people should opt for that. Speaking from personal experience(ex Wimax user).
