No need to make Bootable device,
Use DriveDroid app and boot your pc directly from a ISO/IMG file

found a post online which says you can use drivedroid app for this purpose, but the funny thing is at the end you need rufus.exe which is windows application to complete the procedure.so there is no such process where you can make a bootable usb completely in android.

now a days it is hard to find working dvd drives

have you found any solution?
Search bootable iso file on google and select that iso in Drivedroid

Try this iso http://usersdrive.com/1pltr1omntfp.html (not sure this will work download only if you have any free net available)
This is the one solution available ....I forgot to tell you earlier because I didn't try it by my self ...so try it if you can and report back if it's working..

Finished installing Linux Mint 18.3 cinnamon in my windows 10 pc yesterday, downloaded mint iso from the mirrors, loaded the uefi compatible bootable iso via drivedroid, made necessary changes in uefi like disabling Secure boot and changing the boot order. Voila, i now have a dual booting machine.. Thanks to Drivedroid!!
