Few Years back I had a craze to download everything so i bought a 1 TB external HDD. After few months the disk spins with a clicking noise, and then its completely dead. The disk plates got scratched. Since then I only store files in cloud and watch everything online.
SSD may be overpriced but they are worth buying, you wont regret for sure.

Don't you get the point? Magnetic HDDs are prone to get damaged. You have to take special care while traveling with the External magnetic HDD. You will get 3 year warranty, but they will not bring back all the data.
Get a habit of using Cloud storage. Arrange uninterrupted, unlimited high speed internet, I think that should be your primary concern.

By the way, use internal magnetic 2 TB HDD instead, I hope someday you will know why i said that.

u r right about hdd bro i crashed 5 hdd in just 1.5 yrs but SSD's are costly brother... i mean way more expensive thn hdd's
    **********
    i bought this http://www.amazon.in/Maxtor-2TB-Por...s=samsung+m3+2tb+portable+external+hard+drive

its way too good thn other seagate hdd though its also originally manufactured by seagate.. dont buy seagate slims or backup plus .. they get crashed easily.. price i little bit high right now i bought it at 4980/-

wait for some time like wait till any offer comes .. buy from paytm there u will get huge cashback of around 2-3K

i already have 500+1000 gb of internal hdd
there is no space in my case for another one

and external hdd crashes because people use it all the time
and they move it around while the disk is spinning

external hdd are made for back up

so i will use it only when i need to and store it in a safe place
