Spice has announced the Fire One Mi-FX which is the country's first Firefox OS smartphone. The device is powered by the Firefox OS, aimed at the millions of feature phone users in the country who want to switch. The company has confirmed that it will be initially available at Snapdeal. With the entry of Firefox, Spice is all set to heat up competition in the low end smartphones market where a large majority of the devices in India are sold..

Can firefox os be a competitor to android ?

It may not be. Firefox lacks many features as compared to android. But it can be a good internet phone. I remember I used Firefox for some time on nexus 4 a year ago.
