Reduce data consumption on Android

If you are using paid Internet and want to save data then, there is good news for you.
Go to
Setting -> Data Usage -> press menu and then check mark on Restrict background
It is very useful.
Helped me Save lots of data.

Disadvantage ->
- Notification from Apps like WhatsApp,Twitter, Facebook, Quora etc are not allowed until you disable it.
- play store requires background data

Advantage ->
- save lots of data
- enabling and disabling this function is very fast
- helpful when you are browsing (not downloading)

Well, I also wanted to tell about this feature.

Once I have stopped receiving whatsapp's notifcation while whatsapp is minimized & then I find out the cause of this. It was background data restriction settings.

Sometimes, It is very helpful when you don't want to get disturbed

Awsum option I use it very frequently helps a lot while downloading, these background apps eat up good amount of network
I also use advance task killer to stop background apps

after enabling still i am facing whatsapp messages arrival problem, it will come only after opening the app.

U can also use firewall to block some apps that connecting internet n save data
