go to idm>option>general>capture down. from following browsers>check ur required browser
if u check mojilla firefox
then go to mojilla >extension >enable idm
then go to utube . and play video . u will see a tag og idm in upper side corner of the video....click on it to start downloading

due to lot of updates youtube videos cannot be downloaded directly using idm..instead of that you can use keepvid dot com to download youtube videos in minutes..and also in different pixels..
