It is about some android glitch recently found.....
The main conflict is about a picture

If you see this picture anyhow, don't set the picture as wallpaper in your android mobile.
This will soft brick your phone.
And for Samsung phone, never do this(may be affected for other brand also).

Amazing .......you set the original image as wallpaper and yet nothing happened !!!!
Thank God .
It has become reported that the color space of the image is out of 8 bit RGB range i.e, 255 and thus the Samsung and Google Pixel phones are crashed setting it as wallpaper .
Don't know how nothing happened in your case .

Same i am also wondering, how can an image exceed 255 RGB range
