First of all, this is not a trick but an official offer by Vodafone and is valid all over India for all circles.
Vodafone is giving 2G/3G Trial Packs and the promotional offer is valid till last match of IPL i.e May 26th, 2013. Here are the offers:
1. 500 MB 2G Data @Rs.25 only for 7 days.
2. 500 MB 3G Data @Rs.49 only for 7 days.
To get the offer, Vodafone customers have to dial *444#. There you will see an option written as TRIAL.
Reply with the number and you will find two options again,
1. Trial Internet 2G.
2. Trial Internet 3G.
Those who want 2G offer, reply with option 1 else reply 2 for 3G Data offer.
Method for those who are not getting option on USSD Menu.
Just SMS TRY to 111. In reply you will get the method to activate offer.
To directly activate 2G trial pack, SMS ACT TRY2G to 111 and for 3G trial pack, SMS ACT TRY3G to 111.
To check data you can use any one of these option.
SMS DATA BAL to 144(Toll Free) or dial *111# and follow USSD instructions.
Company has said that it's a one-time offer. Jinke pass zyada SIM ho woh alag numbers pe offer le saktey hai.

Trick to get 1GB data in Rs.74.
First activate any pack of your choice i.e either 500 MB 2G or 3G pack.
Once you finish it off, you can't activate same offer but can activate other pack i.e if you activated 500 MB 2G Trial pack then you can't use it again but you can use 3G trial pack.
So in Rs.25 + Rs.49 = Rs.74, you will get 500 MB 3G and 500 MB 2G.
