DTS enabled, quad-core smartphone Spice Coolpad MI 515 launched at Rs. 9,990:-
The race for the quad-core smartphones is heating up in the Indian handset market. With Micromax, Karbonn, Lava and others frequently launching smartphones with qua-core processor, Spice has unveiled unveiled its Spice Coolpad series with the launch of its new 5 inch Quad Core Jelly Bean smartphone Spice Coolpad MI-515 with qHD resolution and IPS display.
The DTS enabled device which is the first to be launched under the Spice Coolpad brand has a price tag of Rs 9,990. The company said that it has already sold in excess of 1 million units globally. Spice has partnered with Coolpad, a global handsets player.
The device which runs on Android Jellybean OS is a 9.9mm thin device that comes with a large 12.7 cm Ultra Bright IPS Display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor. It offers super clear video and DTS audio that lends multichannel clarity and phenomenal sound effect.
It sports 5 MP Auto Focus rear camera and has 4GB ROM and a 1GB RAM expandable upto 32 GB through a micro SD card. It comes with a 2000mAh Li-ion-Polymer battery features like, Bluetooth 3.0, Proximity sensor, G-sensor, Light sensor, Media player, 3G Video calling and GPS/AGPS/GMS among others.
The company said that it would be launching many more exciting products under the Spice Coolpad brand. Dilip Modi, COO & Co-Founder Spice Group, said that the company is relying on its huge distribution network and own Spice Hotspot stores to expand its share in the smartphone market.
